Can you say once and for all what makes a good story great?
It’s the same thing that Aristotle wrote in 300 BC. You need a solid beginning, middle, and end for a good story.
But that happens sometimes. Fail. Fail again. Fail better. Samuel Beckett said that. Some people think Britney Spears said it. But I prefer to go with Beckett. More erudite.
Do you still write or work every day?
I try to. Flannery O’Connor once said she wrote every day because she worried if she skipped a day it might have been that day that she would have chosen well.
